Since 1749, The Duck has sat on the edge of the Grantham Canal, one of Britain's oldest waterways. Now quiet, unhurried, and serene, it’s the perfect place for a quiet afternoon.
Located in the picturesque village of Woolsthorpe the Duck boasts scenic views of Belvoir Castle from the banks of the canal.

Tucked beside the canal with the castle looking on, The Duck is made for slow starts and no fixed finish. Take the dogs and kids out along the towpath, then wander back for the Confit Duck Terrine or Crispy Spiced Cod Cheeks to get things going. From there, let the Slow Braised Lamb Shoulder carry you through to pudding, with the ducks drifting past the whole time.
